السقالات في وقت مبكر

تخيلوا بلاد ما بين النهرين القديمة، حيث بنوا هياكل شاهقة تُسمى الزقورات. احتاجوا إلى تكديس الطوب الثقيل فوق بعضه البعض لبنائها. فماذا فعلوا؟ بنوا هياكل خشبية، أشبه بالمنصات، حول الهيكل. ساعدهم هذا على الوصول إلى ارتفاعات أعلى والعمل دون سقوط.

Then there’s Egypt, famous for its gigantic pyramids. Think about how massive those are! They used similar wooden scaffolds to build them, but they were more like ramps. They’d pile stones onto the ramps, making the pyramid taller and taller.
